Basalt Hotel - Borgarnes

The view from the hot tub was amazing, and we loved soaking in the warm waters overlooking the expansive fields. The spacious room had a heated floor and even a TV with streaming options. Dinner was delicious, particularly the lamb gravy my husband enjoyed. Check-in was super easy, and the staff was really helpful.

Had really nice stay overall, stylish place and the weather was clear. The food served was delightful. Overall it was reasonably large with extremely comfortable beds. Best possible remote location short walk to a beautiful valley, very unique and isolated, nature, and the glassy restaurant.

It was in a stunning and marvellous location in the glassy restaurant. Moreover, it's close to the valley, Basalt, and a waterfall.

The outdoor hot spring bath was a highlight, offering amazing views as I soaked in relaxation. Dinner was really good. I indulged in a homemade burger that was delicious!

Everything was superb from the staff to the room, extremely comfy bed and warm room. The staff were very amiable and helpful with requests. The hotel was just next door to the nearby waterfalls thanks to its very scenic location.

The location is particularly good and personnel is affable.

Getting there reminded me of I was off-roading in a rally car-hold on to your hat! And I can't believe I had to leave this oasis.

What a fantastic getaway! The spacious room offered fine mountain views. Breakfast was good, with a wide array of options. Don't miss the homemade burger at the restaurant! Plan a pizza night in Borgarnes, it's worth the short drive. Highly recommend for couples seeking relaxation!

We loved how quiet and modern the hotel felt, and the dinner we had with the cod was a real highlight. The spa was a perfect way to relax, especially the hot spring bath and the outdoor jacuzzi after a long day. One small thing was that the parking view from our room wasn’t that interesting, but it didn't take away from our fantastic time! 😊

Peaceful location on the mountainside. Close to a beautiful valley. Rooms with nice showers, big windows, and amazing views. Abundant breakfast. Good food.

The Family Room was super clean and much roomier than I expected. It had a quiet vibe, made it easy to relax. The soft jazz music in the background added a nice touch. The staff was so accommodating, even making me a quick meal when I arrived late. Just wish the room had a bit more storage space for bags, but overall, it was a solid stay.
